# Familiar Tarot

> Familiar gives Claude and other AI assistants a real tarot deck — a true shuffle, real card art, upright or reversed. Connect over MCP in two minutes and read cards that were actually drawn, not improvised.

Familiar is a tarot reading practice for AI assistants. It runs as a free MCP connector: once added, your assistant can shuffle, cut, and draw from a genuine seventy-eight-card deck, lay named spreads, and read the cards in conversation. The web library below documents every card and spread in two traditions (Rider–Waite–Smith and the Tarot de Marseille). Familiar is a reflective practice, not fortune-telling — the cards are a mirror for thinking a question through, never a prediction.
