Reading tarot with Le Chat
Mistral's assistant, Le Chat, now goes by Vibe. Ask it for a tarot reading and it answers in a calm, orderly way, but the cards come from the model, not a deck. Here is the prompt that gets the most out of it, what we saw it do when we tested it, and how to give it a deck that is really shuffled.

- 01
The prompt that gets closest
Name one question and ask for a single card, upright or reversed, before any reading: “Choose one tarot card for this question, say whether it's upright or reversed, then read it plainly.” Asking for the card first keeps the reading from bending the draw to fit.
- 02
What we saw it do
In our test, Vibe had Familiar connected and still answered “Shuffle the Classic deck and draw three cards” by writing its own shuffle in code and announcing three cards. Only when we asked it to use Familiar's shuffle and draw tools by name did it draw from a real deck. Code can look like a shuffle; the model still picks what it shows you.

Give Le Chat a real deck
In Vibe's Work mode, open Context → Connectors → Add connector → Add a custom connector, paste the Familiar URL, and let it find the sign-in (OAuth 2.1). Then attach FamiliarTarot from + → Connectors and name it in your request: “Use Familiar to draw three cards on this.” The cards come from a true shuffle of seventy-eight, upright or reversed by real odds.
Use a different assistant? The same deck connects to Claude, ChatGPT, Grok, Perplexity, Gemini, HuggingChat, and Muse. The connection guide has the per-client steps.
