Reading tarot with Muse

Muse is Meta's personal AI agent, available in the US and Canada. Ask it for a tarot reading and it will give one, with cards it chooses itself. Here is the prompt that gets the most out of Muse, the limit it shares with every chat model, and where a real deck stands.

    The prompt that gets closest

Ask for one card and one question, and for the card and its orientation before any reading: “Choose one tarot card for this question, upright or reversed, then read it plainly.” A single card stated up front is harder to shape to the answer you hoped for.

The one thing a prompt can't do

Muse has no shuffled deck behind it, so no real randomness and no odds for reversals. The card it names comes from the model, and it can repeat or lean toward the mood of the question. A prompt shapes the reading; it can't make the draw real.

    Where a real deck stands

Muse adds outside tools through Meta's connector directory, which Meta reviews; there's no field to paste your own server address. Familiar has applied to that directory and is waiting on Meta's review. Until it's listed, the same real deck works today in Claude, ChatGPT, Grok, Le Chat, Perplexity, Gemini and HuggingChat.
