The Tower Tarot Year Card

A year when something built on a weak foundation gives way, and what is true is left standing.

A year of The Tower

The Tower holds a year of shake-up. A structure that looked solid, a plan, a belief, an arrangement, turns out not to be, and the change can come fast. It is the least comfortable year card, and often the one people are most grateful for later: what falls was not holding much up.

What the year asks

It asks you to let the truth land and to rebuild on it rather than on the old story. The shadow is bracing so hard against change that you rebuild the same tower.

Sitting with it

Ask yourself which part of your life you already suspect won't hold. Make one honest change before you have to.

Questions for the year

  • What in my life do I already know won't hold?
  • What truth have I been protecting myself from?
  • What do I want to build on the cleared ground?
